Structure of Past Simple Tense.

Subject + V2 + (Object)

When do we use Past Simple Tense?

1. When the situation happened and already finished in the past.

  • I lived in Hungary two years ago.
  • John went to ABC shopping mall with Marry last weekend.

Past Simple Tense is used with time indicator words as below example.

    • Yesterday
    • XX ago
    • Last XX
    • once
    • etc.

2. With the repetitive action happens and finished in the past .

  • Marry wrote to her husband every week when he was in the army.
